Alive Tune
Just had a Stage 2 Alive Tune fitted by The Man For Landrovers in East Sussex and the results so far are fantastic. Loads of mid range torque and power, has improved off the mark acceleration as well. Not sure what increase in BHP I have got but I generally judge it on how it feels rather than what the figures say.

For anyone who is thinking about a tune I can highly recommend the Alive - and if you are in East Sussex the guys are Man For Landrovers are defiantly the ones to fit it. This was after my previous tune by a different tuning company did nothing but bring fault codes up and put the engine into limp mode.

Thumbs Up

Excellent! Another tuning thread. Whistle Really, really pleased for you I am! Honestly! Very Happy

Useless statistic...placing 'Alive Tune' into the search facility only throws up a mere 525 threads! Laughing If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

k9f - sorry but i find this very useful compared to the other tuning topics because i live 10 mins from "the man for landrovers" so its interesting to here some feedback from there.

bightondefender - i have been to "the man for landrovers" before and found them over priced, especially when i was looking to buy a 130 of them.
they did how ever say something useful, they "say" their servcing is 40% cheaper than caffins or local LA dealers and it does not effect your warranty on your landy...... not sure if thats true tho...! im looking for somewhere to service and return (because im sure their will be problems) my new 130 to.

Hi chadjizz I bought my Defender from them and must admit that it wasn't the cheapest on the market at the time. That said I have had problems and they were fixed under their warranty no problem or hassle and thats why I stayed a returning customer. It is also worth saying that when I bought my Landrover from them it came with extended warranty from Landrover but they did not tell me to go speak to Landrover they sorted it themselves.

I had my service done at the same time as the tune, as I have heard exactly the same that car manufacturers can no longer deny a warranty claim because the main dealer did not service the vehicle.

Good luck with the 130 - worth a try at Man For Landrovers.

I do! Embarassed In people's excitement to post why is it they forget to do a quick search first? It can be hard to find the information you seek when there are so many duplicated threads. I help people whenever I can and I can source the information they seek. I also do a search and tag on to an existing thread whenever possible. The 'old lags' quite often can lay their hands on the information required from keywords or threads remembered from memory which naturally becomes more difficult with age and repetetive threads.

Rolling with laughter Bow down Another trip to the garage for some solvent sniffing action I think. Thumbs Up

Another thing I hate is 'power posters' who simply post something like:

Thumbs Up Rolling with laughter Bow down Whistle Cool Laughing Confused Very Happy Smile Sad with no addition or useful information to contribute....What's the friggin' point?

Here's a couple for the 'power posters' you know who you are....

Back on topic: So I've heard in places often or not a tune add's a bit more MPG which is nothing but a good thing and a great excuse to get one with the mrs on your case Wink It also will mean in time it'd pay for itself Smile No Guts, No Glory.

Evostick Scotchgrip Adheseive has hit the spot.... Cool

Good point about mpg, however I find it difficult to exercise restraint on my right foot and use the extra torque and bhp, therefore in my case the mpg is as it always was but I can get from A-B quicker. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
