I have noted a drip from the top middle of the tank where the fuel pipes and level unit are situated.
I just filled the tank to the brim and added 200ml of good quality two stroke oil before filling. Do you think the oil may have been incompatible with some or other gasket or quick coupler o-ring or maybe when three months ago they flushed my tank and something came loose? I will probably end up doing the job myself incase it was the two stroke oil which they will blame me for Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |

But it never leaked before in 3 months and we almost always fill to the brim. Actually found quite a large stain on the drive but this morning it has stopped.
I will have to drain the tank, put nice clean oil free diesel in and remove my breather pipe extension before I take it in to the dealer. Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |

Could be I guess - either way I need to drain the fuel into my portable plastic tank and a jerry can so They don't see the blue tinge in the fuel.
I assume one has to change a seal each time you remove the sender unit and fit new - I will check my invoice tonight whether there is a warrenty charge code for a new seal or not. Hope they have the correct tools to tighten the sender unit. I have had just about every job from these guys come back half done or other faults caused Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |

Seems us S-African's all agree that it's a good idea to put additional lubrication into the low sulphur diesel to save the pump and injectors. Using 200ml/tank it is just enough for this but those who have been doing it for some time swear by it and it even reduces consumption.
If using a good quality two stroke it doesn't smoke or clog up the Catalyser. I drained my tank last night but still 1/4 remains for some reason - suppose the hose doesn't get low enough. Anyway, will burn it up and take her in next week with a fresh clean full tank to find the leak at dealers. Wonder what they will break this time Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |
