Hi all
As many know I have not been arround latley as much as usual and some of you have heard me talk about a current project ive been working on since Driffield show, this is why my time has been limited on the forums latley due to the work thats gone in to get this far Today was the day all the work fell into place. Here is a small snap shot of the very first time the engine ran in the conversion im working on. &feature=youtu.be I still have masses and masses of work to do on the install and wiring of the defender to finish the project but I at last can see light at the end of the tunnell Pete Last edited by bell-auto-services on 27th Aug 2012 4:38pm. hehe I knew it would cause a stir
Not sure of prices yet to be honest, Neneoverland should be offering full conversions and ill offer wiring solutions for the self engine install people once this prototype is finsihed and all the finer details are worked out. One thing I will say is that when I drove the engine in the transit it was very FIT and that was without remapping and performance mods Steve, we will speak more at Billing show once I have finished my part of this conversion, until I have actually finished totally what I need to do I dont have the answers to all the questions I will no doubt get asked. In addition to the engine, do you need to beef up the gearbox, transfer box, props, axles and brakes ? |

They suggest using the transit mt85 that comes off this engine as it will take power better although I believe it's only bearings which are bigger than our Landy gearboxes
And I spies replace shafts if you brake them 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs 3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |

Without trying to sound it would be interesting to see what mpg it can do.
As it is a large lump pulling the same weight (not including the engine) it shouldn't have to work as hard this using less fuel, but With my right foot that won't be the case Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

i kept on getting asked what mpg my 4.9 v8 would do. My reply was i fill it up when its empty.
if you are concerned about mpg buy a little diesel hatchback; if you want to enjoy your time on this planet get a BIG V8 Land Rover (or a modded td5) |
