ah ebay. So much right, so much wrong.

People who send you a buy it now offer for half of what it's worth, even though it's on a quid start and ad has been live 1.6mins out of 10 days.

Counter it with an offer of what you want. That way instead of them thinking it's up to you take it or leave it. Instead it's down to them either pay the price or it's a no sale Wink âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Mostly get that from - ehem - non-German sounding names (who write mostly gibberish) Evil or Very Mad Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

My favourite is people who e-mail with a "what's your buy it now price?" or "will you do a deal?". This is despite the fact I end every listing with, in bold, "there is no buy it now price, I will let the auction run". If they haven't read the listing do they even know what they're buying?

OK NOT a grumpy post, but got told this story yesterday.

A Londoner asked local stone mason how much a pair of stone gate post wer. £800 said stone mason. Londoner said how about £450? What said Stone Mason? Price is now £900!

Londoner, no you do not understand we are bargaining we should meet in the middle somewhere.

Stone mason, you are wasting my time, price is now £1,000

Yep Londoner paid £1,000 for the stone pillars.

Maybe that is a tactic I should learn and use.

i'll add my part

have my Tatra 805 for sale. at non restorted price while the whole technical side was completely overhauled and documented by one of the Czech legends on the subject. so it is a bargain compared to other pieces which are offered.
on 1 picture it still had the winch installed, all others (15 including video's to be exact) which state ''actual state'' clearly show the tatra without winch.

11 callers so far:
- 6 did not turn up
- 2 asked if the winch was still there, ok i understand, confusing: But then you say no and the answer is ''oh than i dont have interest in the tatra ... Rolling Eyes thats like calling nutella and asking if the pot of chocopaste comes with the bread as pictured in the commercial. FCS i'm selling a tatra not a winch
- 3 called for a specific part and asked me if i would dismantle the tatra and sell it in parts, well knowing they would of course only take this one part

How much time can a human waste Evil or Very Mad

if anyone would have interest,... its still for sale

I think the clue is in the expression "human waste" Rolling Eyes Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Saw a classified ad on ebay for a G WAC Disco for £1500. Rang and was still for sale and offered deposit via paypal with remainder of full asking price to be paid on collection. Seller said he needed to think about it and would call me back. Never called back and increased price to £2500. Sweet. Twisted Evil

Laughing Saw this one too, he didn't know what it was or its potential historic interest until a few forums started talking and tipped him off! His advert starts by talking about using it as an off-road toy and now he knows better he claims that was his little joke!! Prick! Andy

He knew what a G WAC was all along but just wanted to whip enthusiasts into a frenzy by advertising as a potential bobtailer. No problem with that but upping the asking price???? Evil or Very Mad

Kids that think it's okay to cross a crossing with a GREEN light for me and look at me expect me to stop then turn around in the middle of the road and walk back again to where he started for a friend to call him I quote "What you doing. Are you stupid?!" why not use the damned crossing button and wait until the lights work! Going on with the Ebay theme. I was selling a brand new gen 90 hardtop side panel, price tag, the wrong side of £350 from a stealer. Pics showed the gen label. Best offer I got was £10.50. So withdrew it from sale. I'd rather trash it and skip it than let it go for that money.
Perhaps I'm grumpy but I'll not be giving kit away for nothing. 110 D250 SE HT
110 USW SOLD
RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it
VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys

Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD
