I think I will go for a Border Collie again as a second dog, I don't want anything too big so I can pick them up when they are old to get them into the back of the Defender or boat. I've looked into more suitable breeds for those with allergies but my boy is on a steroid pump still everyday, he only has one puff before bed but if we take him off it he ends up in hospital Sad so we are a long way off yet. His sister grew out of it when she was 6, he is 5 so hopefully in another year we maybe OK. Visiting friends who have dogs doesn't seem to effect him so there is hope. I will have another dog/s eventually Very Happy

I'm not keen on pedigrees but the breeder you mention sounds OK Thumbs Up

My border collie is 11 yrs old now at 5 years old he had 3 major operations after he bust his leg falling off a cliff at the Malvern hills, he had his wrist pinned and plated, then redone then removed, but can still jump in and out of the landy and the BM at the moment but I can see he will need a lift up soon. He survived in the back when my son put his series 3 on its side and has not got a single grey hair (unlike me). He has lived on a diet of Iams and pedigree chum mixed (wouldnt use anything else now). SWMBO adores him and I cant say a single bad thing about him he has been an ace dog so far. He has never had a scrap or bitten anyone (although he will bark and snarle if he thinks SWMBO is threatened) when he was younger he used to run upto about 30 miles when we cycled, and upto about 15 after his leg had been broken he can still do about 10 if we go steady. I hate to think what it will be like in my house when something eventually happens to him.

And best of all the farmer I brought him off at 8 weeks old never cashed the cheque so he cost me FA DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Rescue a Dog there are thousands out there who need a loving home

Believe me take a dog out of a dog home the love that that pooch will give reaches no bounds Mr. Green

Seconded Thumbs Up

Always had good ones, mostly from the streets in Spain and Greece (contacts there). They've always got on well with other dogs, probably because in the dog shelter they had to Wink Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
