it will test as a 2 seater, thats what is fitted so thats what they'll test.
get it a 13 month MOT and then remove the rear seats, takes about 10 mins |

they can only test what's there. I know a few people who have had one duff fog light on the front of their car so took them both off for the MOT
same theory really |

Don't see how removing seats could possibly lead to an MOT fail. They are not checking if your vehicle exactly matches the fine detail on your V5C, they are checking that the vehicle complies with emissions and roadworthyness and has the correct identity.
With Land Rovers they have no seats, then seats, then no seats, interchangeable, so really can't see how they could 'test' them, apart from checking safety of fitments and seatbelts (which is not applicable if the seats are not there!) |

Absolulty fine,
I removed the single seat from the back of mine last yearnto mount my fridge. Before the MOT I spoke to the garage to check as its a pain the the backside to change and the tester said it wouldn't be a problem. Going in this year with no rear seats. 2002 Defender 110 DC |
