On the motorway and heard a pop so quickly I took it to LR dealer. I thought it may be a hose that popped off as I could hear free flowing air coming from the bonnet. Anyways, long story short, they said I cracked the inlet manifold (prob the reason I could hear air out the hood) and I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction on where to get one cheaper than £370 ?

I must admit I'm not the engineering type but have much respect for it so with that being said I'm not sure I would have ever asked that question. It's an 07' with 65k so I thought that with that age and milage it could be accepted to the fact that these things happen... |

Phone LRCC and explain that you would like this changed as a good will gesture. Tell them you are thinking of buying a new one bla bla bla. They may do it FOC or pay to wards it. 130's have feeling's as well you know

I don't know any good (or ones I would recommend!) Independants in Inverurue area.
But in Edinburgh there's Whites: http://www.whitesautoservices.com/ May be worth a call to him (Andy)? As your car is around 5 years, a call to LR may help, but at 2 years out of warranty, it may be a hard one to pull off... I don't know the Portal Rover company at all, but a guy I know seems to use him for work on his Defender... http://www.portalrover.co.uk/ Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |
