I have a white Defender Puma – what colour it is?
Another silly question from me I am afraid Wink

I would like to buy a brush-up paint pen but I don’t know if my car is:
Alpine White, White Gold, Chawton White or Alaska White. Confused

(It is for a Defender, Puma 2008, 110 sw)

What can I do to found out?

Cheers,

Almost certainly going to be Alaska white at that point, best bet is get your local dealer to print you off a ddw spec sheet, this will show original colour.

Or register with Topix - Land Rover site ( it's free ) and enter the Chassis number. You can see the complete build details as it left the factory.

By the way, since you also live in France - do you know something similar to Halfords here in France?

Check out http://www.stephen.hull.btinternet.co.uk/nonmetallic.html (links on the left hand side for metallic paints, etc)

The colour code is on the VIN plate under the bonnet - quite amazing how many different types of the same colour there is.

I registered with Topix, it gives a fair bit of info i.e. build date and Warranty start date(when the first owner took charge) but when it comes to Vehicle features it states "Less Anti-Lock Brakes" and "Less Anti-Spin Traction Brakes" but mine has ABS and Traction Control. Now I'm confused as they're not really things that just appear inbetween manufacture and customer. It also states "Locking Rear Axle-E Diff", so what's one of them when they're at home then?
