If its a year 2000 model then it's a td5 not a puma

Sounds to be an electrical command problem rather than the Starter Motor itself.
Check the engine wiring loom that runs across the rear of the engine, make sure it's not damaged through contact with the red engine lifting bracket (if fitted), this is a common problem and would give you this kind of fault. Richard Either a 90, 110 or 130. Discovery 5 |
