England 2005 Defender 110 Td5 XS CSW Cairns Blue
FREE Cargo barrier but might not be ex-Defender.
Amongst, the cr*p that the previous owner of my house left in the garage was a one piece cargo barrier/dog guard

No ID marks or part numbers on it that I can see but it looks very much Defender'ish. No top fixings, just screw bolts into the two lower brackets as seen in the pic. It's in reasonable nick but not perfect by any stretch. It's been in the garage for nearly three years that I'm aware of and god knows how much longer before that.

Approx dimensions :

1250mm width overall
1115mm height overall (excluding adjustable feet)
640mm reduced width lower section
310mm height of reduced width lower section.
150mm width of bottom fixing brackets
200mm height from bottom of barrier (excluding feet) to bottom of fixing bracket
10-15mm protrusion of bottom fixing bracket beyond outer edge of barrier

These dimensions are almost identical to the guard that came with my 110 when I bought her, so it may well be ex Defender but just as easily not. Perhaps somebody out there can mod it to suit?

Offered free to a good home, providing the benefactor will make a modest forum donation and can arrange collection fairly soon from Buckingham area or Southern Oxford ring road area during the week.

[Edited to add some additional dimensions]
 Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Jon, As you say think it must be Defender one as measurements are correct. I've just measured and looked how the top part would fit in a TDCi, on the older models some are fixed to the ceiling in the middle but you could tie /bolt the top via the grab handles. I suspect it was designed to just push up against the roof whilst being bolted on the seat box - measurements of the lower bracket width height might be handy to see if they fit the seat boxes.

I'd take it for a donation but I'm too far away to justify a trip at the moment. Hopefully someone will use it, if it doesn't go let me know but I'm not sure when I'm up your way next.

Hi Chris, have added the additional dimensions to the original post that should give you a better idea.

I'm reasonably keen to get it shifted, more so because I'm in a clearing out sort of mood rather than it taking up space. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Thanks for the offer John Thumbs Up , I'm in two minds at the moment having thought about storage this morning, so if anyone wants it go for it. Just thinking I need to re-jig the storage and I also put the back seat up regularly to get the boat engine in so don't think a one piece would be practical, need to maybe put in a roof shelf, take other rear seat out etc Confused

If that's for a Defender then it's a very strange size. Width across the body at the waistline is around 1400mm and the space between the wheelboxes is 915mm, so I think that guard is much too narrow.

It could possibly be for a small van or maybe a Citroen Berlingo-type car/van? Darren

Hi Jon,

If Chris doesn't want it I'd be interested, but would probably be chopping it about a bit to fit behind the front seat in the DC.

cheers

I'll give t a while to see if anybody wants to use it as intended, shame to play about with it if somebody has a propped use.

Besides, I seem to always get freebee's from Jon! 2002 Defender 110 DC
