Fitting a Mantec Cubby Box
Just had one arrive this morning only to find they don't come with any fitting instructions. Has anyone put one in and could give me the low down? I assume it should be straight forward but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

A lot of after market kit does not come with instructions which is the bane of my life!

Have not fitted a Mantec box but will assume it is similar to other makes in fitting.

Assuming you have the standard 'cubby tray' unscrew that and offer it up to the underside of the Mantec box and see if holes match up.. If yes it should be a straightforward fit job.

Check carefully that you can operate gear lever and high low box lever without trapping your hand.

Some cubby boxes with both a radio compartment and a drinks/trinket holders are too long to enable easy use of high low lever.

One possible solution is to mount them further back then check does not protrude to far into middle seat rows.

If holes do not line up, choices are to use cubby tray as a template and drill bottom of box or drill seat box for rivnuts. CHECK carefully for wires underneath before drilling

MSS boxes comes with a pad of insulation foam for underneath the cubby box.

Check measurements twice, check for wires twice, drill once.

I used to have a Mantec box. Fairly straight forward to put in. I was replacing a centre tray rather than factory cubby box, and annoyingly only two of the four threaded holes in the centre seat box top lined up, but it's a simple matter to take it out and drill an additional two holes and fit the supplied rivnuts.
