Godstone (south of Birmingham somewhere.....)
sorry if this has been discussed before but I'd have pain very little interest as its outside of Brum.

however I have a friend that lives down that way and is looking to hopefully improve on quality (I'm not suggesting the main dealer isn't any good) and reduce costs.

he's been quoted c£600 (if my memory serves me right) for his second service.


can anyone recommend either a good indy (as this won't affect warranty - right?) and or a good main dealer with more reasonable costs in that area?

Thought Godstone was in Surrey?

Anyway, as far as main dealers go, had been meaning to try Listers in Droitwich for some time, as the other Listers dealerships I've had dealings with, have, in the main, been excellent.

thank you although I don't suppose Listers will be any cheaper than the other main dealers? so I guess an indy will be the preferred option.

You are looking for a reputable main dealer or independent near Godstone that is cheaper than £600 for a second service!

Harwoods at Edenbridge are very good and I was quoted £500 for my second service... before a haggle, they usually do 10% at least Wink

Or Gigglepin near Sevenoaks, don't know how much they charge but will be cheaper.

We have loads of main dealers around here (5 within 25 miles Shocked ) but few or no independents suitable for TDCis Sad

Sorry - It was nearly 11pm when I replied to your post, so excuse my brain not being in gear....

Oh, and £600 seems like way too much for a second service, even for a main dealer. I paid £410 for one from Guy Salmon in Stratford!

Have you tried AJS at the top of Reigate hill on the a217 they did a lot of work on a disco I had once.
