Lost all power today as the IC inlet hose rubbed through on the steering arm. This was fine after 12000km but has now gone at 26500km's Spent 6 hours limping 210km back to somewhere I could get it fixed Will post up pic's when I get a chance.
I think this issue has already been mentioned. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

Pic's of IC inlet hose where steering joint rubbed. It's been cut and a piece of metal pipe inserted and then calbe tied out of harms way. Puma's purring again:)
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I'm wondering now if there are Silicon hoses available for the Puma or better yet a metal pipe. 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

Good job fixing the pipe, but there's a lot of rust on your car.

21000 kms on our Puma so I decided to check the hose. There is a slight mark i.e. a clean piece on it just above the bolt on the coupling at the end of the steering column. So I guess there is contact there, though very slight. I raised it slightly with cable ties and put some black duck tape where the clean spot was. I would say that a couple of layers of duck tape should see you alright until there is a permanent fix for this.Personally I think that by slightly shortening the pipe at the end closest to the bulkhead, it should tighten it up and take the sag out of it. I will report this to the main dealer by e-mail and put it on the check list for the next service. If they say there is a replacement pipe I will post it here. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
