rear stop and tail bulbs advice
OK, tried searching on this and came up with nowt.

I want to replace my standard bulbs in the rear tail/brake light for LED versions in Red, as I have clear lenses.

Has anyone bought any from eBay or the like and been happy? Are they VERY red?

Ones I keep looking at seem to conflict themselves in the description, for example

Description: "2 X 24 RED LED CAR TAIL STOP BRAKE REAR LIGHT LAMP BULB"

Then lower down it says:" This is only a stop light, if you also want a tail light, please refer to Item number: eBay Item No. 290559673969"

I think that led bulbs in fixtures not designed for them are illegal and a fail at mot. Better bet is full led replacement fixtures Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Or get good quality red bulbs from a premium manufacturer. Some people say they end up beig pink but then the indicators are amber and stay amber behind clear lenses. Unless the get old of course

I've had red LED stop/tails in my land rovers for a number of years and no problems passing MOTs. I don't have clear lenses though. bought mine from www.ultraleds.co.uk Thumbs Up

the ones I have are not listed anymore, they have leds around the edge and leds pointing back, to be honest I got fedup buying filament bulbs and so popped them in, and have changed them from car to car since.

my 110 has LR NAS LEDs as standard, these are fine but a bit blingy
