My old disco did the same. After cleaning did not work I fully stripped the piston out and split the caliper for a clean and de-gunk. In the end it was new pipes and flexy and new caliper's. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

How old is it?
I am a very experienced home mechanic but repairing brakes has always made me nervous as your life and others depend on them, if in any doubt I either replace with new parts or get them refurbed professionally. Just my 2p worth. BM52
