afternoon all,got a defender 110.on the o/s front i have 1 brake caliper sticking,i have cleaned it with emery cloth and lubricated it with good old wd40 and although it is a little looser it is still the last 1 to make contact with the pad !!any tips anyone if not i will have to put it back together until i get a service kit or something.thanks in advance

My old disco did the same. After cleaning did not work I fully stripped the piston out and split the caliper for a clean and de-gunk. In the end it was new pipes and flexy and new caliper's. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

lambert and bm52 thanks for advice.i have just put the wheel back on and i think i will have to give the brakes an overhaul with some shiny(not for long)new parts,
land rovers.......one life live it.......underneath one mostly ha ha ha |
