IMHO, it is great, can even hold the door on a slight side slope as well.

Good to hear. I also remember some one mentioning it was one of the best mods they've done. It begs still the question as to why LR haven't fitted as standard! It would be more use trying to hold it open with a feather than the standard bracket even tightened up ![]() |

Had mine from Brendon which was a Nakatanga.BRilliant so quick and easy to fit.As mentioned you can park on a slope and leave door open.No chance of trapped tails or noses or being hit in the back with the door when reaching inside. You have to physically shut the door with some pressure.Would highly recommend.

Excellent bit of kit.
Get it or design a better gas strut with combined hold open latch as per land cruisers. |

I posted this request on the last "gas strut" thread and am still looking for the onfo if anyone would be kind enough to help out, what I want to know is, the length of the actual strut, as I have a few different size struts that I have salvaged from the scrap bin at work, any info appreciated.
Thanks Mike |

Brilliant, but opens the door fully (90+ deg) so may push OEM lamp guard to the right a bit on a Puma (depending on tyre size). Benefits far outweigh that though

Or, for under a fiver, you could fit this:
![]() This is a broom handle, a hook and a caravan awning holder. Not pretty, but it does the job well. Merlin |

What happens when you have a trailer on? I cant open the door fully with my ifor on because of the jockey wheel, so does it not push your door into that and mark the paint??
