I absolutely love mine. The voice commands work really well, and the simple design really suits the defender.

I have one to, the iPhone connection is great. The radio is a little fussy. But I like it.

I agree, they are not straightforward to own because new features become available and you re-load the operating system - you can sign up to alerts. Technical support is good, there was a problem when apple upgraded to 4.0 and the parrot took 3-4 weeks to catch up.
The voice and bluetooth is great, google maps, speed camera (paid for) and other apps are quite fun and sounds good too. it's a straight swap from the std land rover radio inc. ariel connection. Click image to enlarge |

A couple of questions for the above...
Firstly, does it work well with other phones? Currently on a Blackberry but thinking of swapping over to the dark side when the new one comes out later this year. I presume it's a wireless (bluetooth?) connection to the system? Secondly, does it not look a bit flash?? As in - does it not attract a lot of unwanted attention? Or can you remove/cover up the screen when you've parked up? Lastly where does the handsfree stuff all go? I had something before that clipped onto the visor, but the sound quality was crap on both ends of the phonecall! Thanks, xatzhs |

Were about on dash have you fitted the mic ? That was one of the things I am unsure of as it's bigger than other mics supplied with other units. 993 Varioram - Guards Red Defender 2.5 300TDI 110 HCP - Keswick Green Defender 2.2 TDCI 130 HCP - Orkney Grey - GONE Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE LUX - Corris Grey/Black Pack - GONE Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE LUX - Montaciano Red/Black Pack - GONE |
