As low as 25 mpg towing my 14ft ifor and as high as 34mpg on a good steady run. Everyday driving i would say about 28-29mpg.

Every TD5 Discovery and Defender in the Lincolnshire Police turns in an average of 27mpg regardless of driver.

Pre remap and EGR removed about 28'ish. Post remap & EGR removal, about 30'ish.
EGR was removed at same time as remap, so afraid can't comment if EGR alone would have improved MPG in any way. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Had mine 18 months now and average MPG over that period is 27, been as low as 24 when doing 80mph on the motorway and as high as 29 when driven really carefully.
Bit sad really but got an iPhone app and I record each fill up, scariest bit is the total cost of fuel over the 18 months!!! |

Excel spreadsheet on Dropbox for me
Over the 4200 miles I've driven since I've owned mine, I've averaged 24.3mpg. However, my usual pattern of driving day to day does consist of lots of short journeys. Best I've had on a very steady run is 26.8. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? I live in the sticks and rarely drive on town roads.
I'm normally in 5th gear. |
