It's an intersting thought. Certainly got my thought buds going....
Can't see it being practical but worth a ponder |

my mate has his eberspacher mounted to the rooflining of his 130 crew cab and then just runs a piece of ducting from the outlet through an open window and up to the rooftent at night, works a treat.

Hi,
I fitted mine inside my cubby box, all electrics are contained inside it so it can be removed easily but not conveniently. I made a 3 way manifold at the rear which distributes the warm air. Pipes go out side windows into the roof tent. As said it does get hot 2kw hot, but the body itself is not. Worked well in the cubby, I was mindful of it overheating in there. Take a look here, sorry you may need to join to view pictures. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/thre...ight=Espar Steve |

I thought about this too - my thought is to use a simple 12V fan, some flexible 4" ducting (like a tumble dryer pipe), a bespoke plate to put the pipe/fan onto a half open rear window - and then just pipe it into side window on the roof tent
Keeps all the nasty hot things and exhaust etc away from the tent - and you have a nice warm truck too |
