With the ring end ground round nice and thin, I have a pair of those.

My favorite spanners are my Facom French box spanners, use them for everything, it might be a crane errector thing. ! If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

for the first time in since I learnt to drive I have had my own garage [last 2 years] to lay out all my tools and work in. I have spent years working outside in all weathers or in a tiny pre-fab garage borrowed if the weather or job is horrid.

If that does'nt count then I still have the 1lb claw hammer I was given at 19 and it still does the job, very battered but it just feels right in my hand. BM52

Hard one to choose but a 52mm 1/2 inch drive socket has got me out of trouble a feww times on the 90 and the old tdi 110. Always have one in the tool box. Not needed for the Puma yet (as it should be).

Definitely my multi-tool(s). A friend brought me back an original Leatherman from the States about 15 years ago, which I still carry daily to work, although I've since added a slightly larger Gerber that I carry at other times. I always feel slightly naked on the odd occasions that I have to leave it behind - airports usually! Darren

I carry these in my dedicated vehicle toolbox and find them all essential.

2x metric spanner sets, 2x AF spanner sets and various ratchet spanners, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 ratchet sets, 3/8 and 1/2 torx and allen key sets, <100ftlb>100ftlbs torque wrenches. Assorted screwdrivers, pliers, mole grips, wire cutters/strippers. Gas soldering iron with solder, flux and various connections and lengths of wire, boroscope and DMM. Nanocom. LED Strip lamp and head torch, maglite. Cloths, hand cleaner, latex gloves various cans of spray, fuses, bulbs and heatshrink. And the LR assist card.

All the tools go in a 3 drawer tool box and everything else in a small metal toolbox.
