Land Rover Customer Service
Does anyone have an email or Fax number for Land Rover Customer Service. I want to give them an earful regarding the handling of a warranty claim. In this instance it's not the Dealerships fault.
I have a body corrosion defect, noted by dealer who took pictures etc: contacted Land Rover who stated that their approved body shop, 50 miles away, would have to first check that the dealer was correct and if approved carry out the repair. OK I thought, but then the body shop wanted £15/day for insurance of the loan car, which I refused, but they did accept that my insurance covered that anyway. Then they told me at the last minute that the only vehicle they could supply was a Fiesta. My complaint is that this is a warranty claim and as such I should NOT be inconvenienced. I doubt that they will recompense me for the £25 of fuel it will take to get my Defender too and from the Approved Body Shop, the many calls to arrange the repair and the use of my Insurance for their vehicle. Lastly, I bought a Defender for a reason. A Ford Fiesta, for a Warrant claim is pushing their luck a bit too far. I have no option but to accept it at present but I would like to give someone a earful. It would make ME feel better at least. Big Cry Big Cry Whistle LANDYWATCH

had the same on my bulkhead, but the dealer collected the 110 (36 mile round trip) left a replacement and returned after work was done, so i would say it is down to your dealer to supply a car. most paint shops only have crapy small cars.

Thanks for the replies.
The Fiesta WILL be used. Have to go to the local dump this week. Saves dirtying the inside of my pride and joy.
And yes Zagato: this is the problem. Fitting of the windscreen probably scratched the paintwork down to bare metal under the rubber gasket. Wouldn't have been helped, maybe, by sealing the rubber gasket maybe just delayed the problem until after the warranty. We shall see.

Years ago I was employed as a shepherd on a large estate and my works truck was serviced by a local dealer every 3 months but they wouldn't give me a like for like motor Rolling Eyes So I'd drive onto the forecourt at 8:30am, opening time I'd been at work ages by then, the Direhatsu pick up would be dripping as there is dirt and poo on farms Shocked The service staff would book it in and then hand me the keys to a Direhatsu Charade Shocked
Given that any customers that may have been in the reception area at this time were usually gagging outside the door, especially at lambing time when I'd been up all night and covered in blood, sh*t and afterbirth, they never batted an eyelid. Mine wasn't the only farm truck they serviced. They never batted an eyelid either when the fist thing I'd do is drop the back seats down so that at least one, sometimes four Collies were transferred from the pickup Whistle
They had about 4 of these courtesy cars and they didn't worry about which one they gave me so in time I got through the lot and the replacements in the three years I had the job Rolling Eyes
