it looks like an ordinary navara but I believe thats one of the demo hybrids - electric powered via a windturbine.

there are however some issues yet to be resolved. one being the issue of speed control - the quicker it goes the more power generated and the quicker it wants to go and so on....

this is one of the reasons I bought the defender. with the fantastic load capacity when we run out of oil I'll whack a great big elec motor under the bonnet, some batteries in the boot and a wind turbine on a trailer.

just need to sort the rust issues first.

that Navara issue must have been very common as both a colleague and then one of my neighbors had Navaras where the engine went bang. Both well out of warranty and both sold on after bodged repairs. Don't ever buy a used one cos you know whats happened to it !
