Devon4x4 or Entreq fuel cooler guard?
Thought best to ask this on another thread.

Was thinking eventually about getting a D44 fuel cooler guard but some pay the extra and get an Entreq - why?

Entreq £165
http://www.entreq.de/products/protection/s...uhler.html

Devon £35

How does a cooler work, why does it need a cooler in the first place, never heard of one before Confused

Well the Devon guard is only held on my 2 M4 ish size bolts and when you put the guard on, which is a good 3" wide I thought it too easy to catch, knock off and take the cool with it.

Entreq beast bolts right across the chassis so there is no issue there Thumbs Up Russell

I would add, if you go for the entreq model, it can make oil changes a little more tricky unless you fit a difflock oil drain plug system like this

http://shop.difflock.com/defender-drainplug-p-40.html

also gives additional protection to the oil filter housing

why Zag? got a hump in the drive!

Not a major priority IMHO more likely to dent the diff pan and bend the drag link than hit the cooler

Very pleased with the D44 one myself Zag. It's only to protect the fuel pipes from debris both on road and off as the pipes are failry expensive so I've heard! Devon also do a transmission guard too which seems good. Thumbs Up Have a look at their product details and it'll give you more info. I'll take a pic later just for you Laughing

I've got the D44 one Chris. Though it is coming off in favour of the Entreq one as it covers the whole area and not just the cooler. I would send you the D44 one when I swap, but you could probably get a new one delivered to you for what it would cost to post you mine. Thumbs Up

The problem is your gonna be so far down the scrot list, all that gonna be left by the time you get there is a couple of bolts in several halves Rolling with laughter Russell

so what's going on here ? here's me, busy fitting stuff and finishing off the jobs on the 90 and 110 and all you guys want to do is take them all off again Shocked

I've finished the battery box today and fitted the entreq door strips on the 110 and fitted the accelerator cable to the 90 and tidied her up... looks like rain, so 110 gone to bed.
