Best way to route wiring
I was planning to fit my rear view camera system today but it's raining here now Big Cry

Running wires from an interior mirror monitor - which way is the easiest down the driver or passenger side ?

I am going to need to find a feed that is live with ignition on as I can connect camera feed to the reverse light.

No had a good look to see access points around dash so any tips in advance appreciated.

You should be able to connect the camera to the reversing light +ve, there (may) be a purple/black permanent feed (there is in 110's)

as for routing, how about some convoluted trucking and tuck it under the truck ? VWP (vehicle wiring products) are about the cheapest for that stuff, then up through the bulkhead at the front through an existing hole.

pics please !

If you have a live feed at the rear could you feed the wires up the rear corner and then along the ledge by the alpine light and tuck under front headlining Question BM52

Simon - I'd be interested to know if 130's have the purple/black wires ?

Unsure if to route from mirror down passenger or driver side in cab, rear connection not a problem as I plan on routing from camera along the chassis as it's a double cab.

I would guess the same side as the reversing light, that way you don't need to cross left/right over the chassis.

How easy is it to gain access behind the dash to get a live feed on drivers side. 993 Varioram - Guards Red

there's 4 screws to remove the instrument binnacle, then once removed it's pretty easy to get the centre part of the dash, you can also get good access to the fuse box area, so should be pretty easy.

do you have downloads of all the wiring diagrams ?
