Rob, i have been really impressed with the 2.2. it pulls well, cruises well and is quiet (well for a defender) Land Rover are spoiling us Its not a RR Sport, but that's good for me though

The sport is a great motor but the 90 looks stunning.
What's got on my nerves abit with the current defender I own is the build quality. But I believe new seals have been fitted to the door and the engine is smoother. I guess I should just get a test drive. Was going to ring up today though and buy it before anyone else does. It's in dark blue with svx alloys looks mint better than any sport, and you don't look too rich in front of customers. |

No it's Stafford. They have two a red one and a blue one. It looks darker than Oslo blue tho. It's tinted just needs some black cheqeur plate.

I know I moan about this but Land Rover are completely incapable of keeping stock of spare parts. Compressor (x2) and steering rack are items I had to wait weeks for.
I would think a 90 would be incredibly joggly after a RRS - I really want a 90 but worry it is not big enough in terms of carrying space and also when I have driven one I have found the front to rear pitching unpleasant. I would go for a long test drive on motorways and A road and rough lanes and see what you think. Now a 110 of course, well that's a different matter..... (best hide under the table) C 2015 110 USW XS in Santorini with premium contrast leather seats in tan/black, black headlining and with Dual Finish alloys (in the garage, now on Wolf rims with Goodyear MT/Rs) 2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ... 1984 90 soft top with full roll cage, 200 tdi engine etc now sold 2012 USW XS 2.2 "FUU" now gone.... |

I am in 110 at the min so ride and refinement aren't an issue. I thought the sport was for me but defender is in my blood, this will be number 10.
The 110 is too big for my day to day life and I have no kids so the rear seating won't be used much. The disco would be the best choice but the 90 looks ace. Just awaiting the back see if a deal can be stuck. The part won't come till June what would they have done if I hadn't spotted it and it was being driven. Would I be in a courtesy car till June?? |

I can answer that. If your car is still under 3 years and covered by LRA then yes, LR will provide an Enterprise car (and you could probably moan and get a D4 HSE, I did). If your car is on an extended warranty then you get a car for a week then it is up to your dealer. So I have had HSEs from LRA/Enterprise then when D3 was in extended warranty I had an Enterprise/LRA HSE SD4 FL2 (yuk) for a week or two and then a FL2 SD4 XS (even bigger yuk) for 3 or 4 weeks from memory. Well the dealer says sport will be fixed in two weeks now. The 90 is a demo and can't be sold just yet. Going in Monday to sort it.
