well after 2 more calls today, their tech phoned back.
1. As we all know, the apple app is still not available, interesting read from davew 2. Their web site still shows a 404-page not found if you try contacts from bottom of the support page 3. Here's a thing ... they put "5 User Licenses" all over the packaging, which is correct but they don't tell you IF YOU DOWNLOAD A MAP FROM THE MAP SHOP YOU CAN ONLY USE IT ON ONE (YES 1) PC AND PERHAPS A MOBILE DEVICE (i think you should be able to use the maps 5 times like the rest of the software) So if you have a pc to do planning on and a tablet for navigation both running windows, then you need to pay for the map twice. I have transferred the maps from my planning pc to my tablet .. licensing software like that encourages people to find "ways around" the tech was a really nice guy ... he seems up against it at the moment |

Go to the USA iTunes store and create a new (USA) account.
Then you can use this account to buy apps not available outside the USA... Since upgrading to Memory-Map 2012 I have not been able to run on my iphone because the free app is not available...
after a few weeks of calling and emailing .. memory map finally got round to responding to my messages (might have been the inclusion of "or do I need to ask Trading Standards to assist?") anyway, MM are still advertising the free app on their sales literature and it's simply not available, so this is not right. Their excuse is they have a free app but apple won't put it on the iStore .. so MM should remove the free app information from their web site ??? They ended up sending me an apple voucher for the paid app ... downloaded, installed and all is well. They are still advertising the free app and it's still not available. so if you do upgrade to 2012 edition for PC which includes iPhone/Pad license then have a word. |

yes but the free app has gone ! if you buy the PC version, you get a licence to run on "i" device .. and free app covers this but not available any more (according to their support, probably won't ever be available again) |

Someone asked earlier in the thread about Memory Map for other phones. I've used MMtracker for some time on my HTC Android phone, albeit with an old version of the OS maps from V4 of Memory Map.
Works well. https://sites.google.com/site/mmtrackerinfo/ cheers simon |

I don't think so, I think V5 is the earliest version. There is/was an offer for 2012 version for about £60, I bought that. You can then open the edition up to import your existing maps and there are some 25k's available PM me for more info. |

Depends on your pockets, you will need 24gb free space to load all the UK on 1K25 scale maps. Runs ok on windows tablet, but better on iPad. If you have maps already, then there is a paid for £4.99 app, then add import any maps option and your off. I have PC version that also allows iPad/iPhone device as part of the SLA. |
