Best of the NAS Lamps?
One mod I always like to fit is NAS lamps. Living in deepest darkest ruralshire, being seen is handy driving a green defender!

There are a number of sellers advertising full kits with plinths. They vary from around £60 to a heck of a lot more for led. I think I'm going to stick to normal bulb type for the moment and, as I've seen some negative remarks about different brands, wondered who had the better ones? Is it Perei? and where do you buy them from?

Last set I fitted needed a little body work mod with a round file to accept them, is it only BoB that do the easy fit plinths?

If anyone knows of a good 'kit' at a sensible price for LED please let me know. I'm not good with electrics so like plug & play type.

Any site sponsors with forum discount do send me a pm Very Happy

I bought the ones for my 110 from Bearmach. they're the perei jobbies (filament bulbs though, not LED).

Can't remember the price, but not too bad at all really.

Had to elongate the main hole in the bodywork with the die grinder a bit, but nothing too bad.

They've been on for 3 years now, no problems or water leaking into them at all.

My advice would be to make sure they are Perei who make the genuine ones. I've used Dun Bri. Mobile Center sell LED ones and might be able to help.

Also try your local commercial vehicle motor factor - LEDs are becoming very common for trucks and busses. I got my lamps for not a lot of money and they have been very good so far. IIRC they are Durite items - If I remember I will check the lamps tomorrow in daylight.

All you need to do is get the easyfit plinths from BoB.

I'm part way through fitting NAS lights to mine. I've used BoB plinths on the front as it's so much easier and I like the slightly bug-eyed look:

I'll do the back with standard plinths (if I ever get time to do it Rolling Eyes ) though to maintain the flush line with the curve of the bodywork. This does mean cutting larger holes in the bodywork, but it's no big deal if done carefully. Darren

Fitted these to my old 110 Hi-cap

I used BOB plinths on the front to save cutting holes. Avoid all other lamps other than Perei as they let water in..

No need to fit NAS lamps to be seen - our 70mm LED kit will outperform the standard lamps and fit straight on without bodywork mods or plinths.
