Td5? yes, all Td5's have the 10AS alarm unit (it's the green box behind the dash), however, not all are activated.
You'll need a nanocom,or rovacom or a friendly dealer with testbook (I see your profile is N Wilts, same as me. I suspect T.H.Whites in wootton bassett is your local dealer), pop in and offer them your amex card, they may turn it on for you. It's literally a few minutes job. with nanocom (I suspect the testbook/rovacom is the same too) you can set the immobilser to be passive etc. you'll need (if it isn't fitted) the excitor coil that fits around the ignition barrel and the plipper units to fit onto your keys so you can arm/disarm it.
