Germany 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Baltic Blue
Only using that one for FM (I have another for CB) - middle band for FM stations I want around Munich is 100MHz Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

He probably means 1/4th wavelength Wink.

With a 3/4 wavelength his Defender would fall over on the first corner Mr. Green Peter,

Defender 110 StaWa - Td5
Defender 110 HCPU - Puma
Defender 90 Soft Top - Td5

Nope - 3/4 wavelength for FM 100MHz is about 225cm. Because CB frequency is lower around 27 MHz (roughly 1/3 of 100 MHz) a 1/4 wave CB aerial is only slightly longer than a 3/4 wave FM one (higher frequency = shorter wavelength = shorter aerial)

Brilliant for a corking FM 3/4 wave aerial as you only have to cut a bit off a 1/4 wave CB whip Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

I am beginning to think its not a reception issue today, as i popped a cd in (old school I know) Laughing on the way to work and it sounded just as bad as the radio, Crackly and very little volume. So I am now thinking the headunit and speakers are shot! You cant polish a turd!
But you can roll it in glitter Smile

Don't be to hasty some times things seem a bigger problem than they are. Check that there are firm connections to the rear of the radio and behind all speakers. Also check for any nicks or cable damage while your at it. Thumbs Up

I have just had the whole lot re-wired, so the connections should be spot on, will check the speakers, but to be honest the headunit is about 15 years old and has been knocking about my garage for a good portion of that time. You cant polish a turd!

Ah that maybe why then. Worth checking the speaker connections though. Thumbs Up
