Hi All
Can't seem to find anything about this in a search (probably being thick) I want to remove some of the carpets in an XS (to fit wiring) and wasn't sure how they are fixed to the floor. Looks like a sort of plastic clip in thing, how is it best to remove these without breaking them (done that before on doors and needed to get new clips ![]() I'm guessing from previous posts that the flat ones in the rear and around seats are double sided tape but the fronts appear to have a proper fixing. Any suggestions please I'd be grateful as I don't want to get it wrong. Cheers Cobs, I had a feeling it would be straightforward, I'll give that try when it's not dark out.
Only need to remove front and first passenger carpet to wire in a subwoofer. Something for the weekend sir I think. Ta Dj 1989 200tdi 90 csw 2011 110 usw Orkney grey Buy British 🇬🇧 Defender Clothing Designs available at http://www.rangesports.com/acatalog/Defender-Stuff.html |

The plugs and grommets will probably break. In the front I've removed our carpets since they're just sponges. I've put gaffer/duct tape over the holes in the floor and the rubber mats fit on top. Much less cabin moisture in winter now.

Are they the normal trim fit round clips? If so simply buy a trim tool from a tool upply place and you can extract them intact and refit. Works on all trim - e.g. door cards.
