Ive been considering one of those, how stable would you say they are? If 12v sockets were fitted, would it remain still when plugging stuff in/out?

Yesterday, finally completed the Cotswold green lane run as suggested by Farmer Giles.

A nice surprise being the one "amber" route was now green (i.e. next to no vegitation overgrowth).

Great day. 150 miles covered betwenn 09.10 and 16.00hrs.

As safe as a chainsaw can be haha. I suppose all depends on the person using it as to how safe it is. Not being stupid and respecting it as a tool, not a toy. rather than being a tool using it Thumbs Up ===================================

Thanks - there will be plenty of pictures taken Thumbs Up

We did some track clearing and route finding with LRE Honiton about 18 months ago up there. There are some stunning sights on the 'moor, we saw waterfalls that even the local people did not know where there.

Hope the weather is like today, we had a max of 17.5 C this afternoon.

Thanks guys.... Very Happy

We are planning a big trip round Australia - up to 6 months if the pennies stack high enough ! I have a touring roof tent on order from Trek Overland which will go on top of the cage. So the cage is both roll over protection and a roof rack.

The standard bulkhead removal bar (which is now for sale btw Wink ) has been removed and replaced with a beefier one, made of the roll cage material and forms part of the internal hoop. This does all sit slightly further back over the wheel boxes that the original one, but not specifically to make more room for the seats, that is just how it fits in.

The cross bends back into the load space more than I'd expected but this is compensated for by the bigger space between it and the gear lever box - we will be able to store things I want easier access to behind the seats and can probably fit in a decent sized custom cubby box there. So all in all I think it should work pretty well.
