Looks like fun!! Yesterday the Defender had it easy...... After fighting with back problems for the past year (Could barely walk this time last year). I supported the missus with a personal challenge- to do the Gym 2 Gym half marathon. 14.5 miles over coastal hills in the blazing heat.... With pretty much no specific training but tons of determination we completed it in 2 hours 18 mins. So, to celebrate we went to Ocean Basket and had a load of sea food....... I am now fully hooked on octopus. Today we decided to take the Defender for a gentle drive in the countryside with a stop off at a new beach...... it ended up being full off-road on the way back..... but our legs were soo bad today that minimal walking was done. fitted rubber end caps from paddockspares but they didn't come with the retaining pins but bought a set of 8 from an auto parts store for less than what the dealer charges for 1 and the only dealership that had it in stock was an hours drive away
Click image to enlarge Also fitted the first four glove box very useful but very dissapointing quality Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated 2012 Fuji White 110 Flattened |

Wife and I took Lola (Cocker Spaniel) for a walk along Alderley Edge, followed by tea and scones in the Merlin tea shop. Oh, forgot to say, we went in the Defender, and took the long way home via Prestbury.

Adjusted the steering lock stops on my new 110. What a difference!
Why can't they do that at the factory? |

Came home from work early to finish polishing my truck (after rain stopped play on Saturday pm) and also to give sufficient daylight hours for Dave to fit my wing tops and rear corner protectors in readiness for the next stage of the transformation on Thursday/Friday - the cage!
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Wasn't sure if I'd like the wing tops but now they are on they do look good - make it look more purposeful! |
