Knocked up a few panels for an old chap (96 Shocked ) who has had Series Ones to TDi's a real enthusiast. He has never seen a Puma and really liked it but joked about alloy wheels on a Defender. Must admit when I first saw metallic paint and alloys on a Defender it didn't look right to me, funny how your taste changes! Even getting to like the look of Zu's Shocked

.....Now with a new doublepin plate and ALKO towball for the caravan and the NATO jaw on the old plate I can tow the caravan and nato trailers at will......

I am sure that you know this, but you are aware that with a fixed (i.e., non-rotating) pintle like that you can only safely tow trailers which have the old-type rotating lunette?

If you tow a later, non-rotating-type, lunette you run the risk of bending or breaking something. Usually it would be the crossmember, but the DB mounting is so strong it will probably be the pintle or lunette.
