Sat in my Def 90 today for 1/2hr or so. Trying to decide wether to keep it or not. I've not driven it in months, currently on SORN. Work sort of dictates that I'm not going to get to drive it this year. But it owes me nothing, all paid for, only cost at the moment is a tenner a month on insurance.

I've been having similar thoughts myself. It's almost paid off, but insurance and tax is due this summer, but at the moment I don't really have any need for a Defender... Work is almost drying up too... As long as I can get it paid off then things won't be too bad. But even then, not sure I'll still need a Defender....

But can I get rid..... Eeeeeeeeek!

Hell Warpig. They are actually a standard part from Dixon Bate and can be bought for either standards (nato 4 bolt M12 or 50mm ball M16)

I got mine from a local company in Hemel Hempstead called Tow-B-Fabs for £42 plus another £16 for the extra pin. Though some folk think he is a bit expensive.

In the past I only had single pin plates and they were prone to clomking around a lot so as I am getting a caravan shortly I thought a double pin would be quieter and less damage to the carrier.

My situation is a tad different. This is a full on challenge truck, twin winches, twin lockers etc etc. And it's the 3rd car. I can't really justify it but it's taken me a long time to get it the way and I'm sort of attached to it.
But I know I'll never compete in it again, it's just an over specced green lane toy.

I regret selling my green 90... Twin winches, lockers etc.
I regret selling it big time. The only thing I regret in life.

I see your point but it's kitted out as a modified challenge truck. I've never competed seriously in it. And having that spec truck for a bit of laning is overkill. I've enjoyed putting it together, well most of the time.
Just need to work out it's value, to see what can replace it Whistle 110 D250 SE HT

Went out checking landmarks for a landmark challenge later this year. 15 more to go.

Chris.

Afternoon.

It's something I'm putting together for another forum to start a little later on this year, April 01st to be precise.

It's nothing too difficult for the first year, but is roughly as follows;-

20 landmarks.

Each landmark has a number (1-20), O.S map and sheet details, grid ref' and clue.

You work it out, drive to the landmark, take a pic' of your LR by the landmark and send them in to the organiser.

The winner is the one who completes the most landmarks in the oldest vehicle.

A couple more checked yesterday. A few more to check this afternoon and tomorrow.
