Not cheap at £400 or so but this would be the solution and keep machinery dry when it rains, the only drawback is not being able to pick up fence panels with the trailer unless the canopy comes off quickly Could strap down ladders to the top also somehow so it wouldn't have to come off for that. I don't do much fencing these days, getting to old for digging holes, I'll leave that to Fekete

Think the canopy uses latch type catches for quick removal and you may be able to fit roof bars similar to those on a Maggiolina or roofbars on the silver lady

The more I think about it this is the way to go Will get the credit card out tomorrow Can just build a wooden crate to stop the tools flying about and just pull it out when I need to get at something or unload at the end of the day..............couldn't be without a trailer they are so useful

Very good going Karlos You've been using one of those post thumpers on the back of a tractor Thought you meant 27 forum posts at first
Stoker your right a home made set up might be an option, £400 for a canopy is a lot of dosh at the moment (and it's half way to a set of BFG KM2 ) |

I dont know about your work but when I use my trailer I'm in pretty good areas and usually on a customers drive or nearby. So far, never had any issues with theft - touch wood! Lets face it, its probably easier to break into your land rover!!
PS You'd be proud of me Zag, well and truly Zagged the outside of my truck yesterday, re-blacked all the plastics/rubbers and gave it a thorough beauty treatment! Looks brand spankers again 2005 TD5 90 Hard Top Beer 'n Sex 'n Chips 'n Gravy |

Look for a second hand van vault, they are tough enough to land fence posts and panels on, or find a local little engineering company to fab one for you. You could just try throwing the tools in the passenger foot well, a couple of dust sheets should keep the truck tidy. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper

Spankin
There are some opportunistic thieving around here. I left my drill at the top of a garden about 40' away whilst fencing and saw this bloke jump out of the passenger side of a van, run up the bank to my drill and head off with it. He saw me running towards him when he pinched it and luckily dropped it as I was gaining in him up the street, his mate picked him back up again and they were gone. It's not only the tools but the whole trailer itself will get pinched one day until I weld a bracket and chain onto it |
