Took my rear door kick plate off, the galv/rusty one and sill, was all sobbing wet and rusty as a horse shoe, keyed the galv up and colour coded tonga! Lacquered!! Looks pretty good for an amature ha ha 90 Puma HT

Went to Maddison 4x4 after work to pick up a new RF receiver for Dave's Range Rover alarm (it has been suffering some interference, probably from our Wifi and waking up and draining the battery if left for more than a couple of days without starting).
While I was there I also said a quick 'hello' to a pile of bent pipework that is actually my roll cage, recently delivered to Maddisons from Performance and Protection..... all still heavily wrapped in packaging so didn't actually see it properly - but there is a lot of it!! Fitting date sorted for Thurs 8th March - 2 weeks to go! Filled up on the way home .... still averaging mid 26s for mpg, which is fine (even got 28.2 last week!!). Will see how much that drops with the extra weight of the cage! |

hoovered and cleaned the inside then wiped all plastic surfaces with a damp microfibre cloth. That'll do. Realised that this is the first time I've cleaned the inside of the Defender since we bought it last August ! (Sorry Zag )

Just fitted Philips Extreme headlights, great improvement, now all the other bulbs look a bit dull in comparison, might have to upgrade the sidelights, interior, rears etc etc.

Ahh I miss the old '200Tdi' view with the four spoke wheel... Used to love driving our old one, 'Old Blue'. As basic as it got. Loved it. Click image to enlarge That's our Old Blue when I first got Big Black. Never let us down once in three years. |
