Service recalls
Hi.

I'm new to the Puma and this forum.

I have a 2010 110 utility. Are there any recalls for this model year? How do I know if they have been fixed? it was 1 year old when purchased. Have they sorted the dodgy clutches and gearboxes from the early 07's? Is there any thing else i should get dealer to look at?

Thanks in advance, Myn.

Mynstral,

Welcome to the forum and to the Puma club.
Regarding your question the easy way to know if a recall is pending is to registered yourself in the www.landrovertechinfo.com known also as http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com (its free!)

After registered, with your VIN (SALLXXXXXXXXX) you can check if a recall is pending.

Regarding other issues a lecture of the forum post will be very good.

Cheers! Eduardo

I have MY2010 and so far...

1. transfer box rear oil seal
2. door closing jobbies (the metal door things that keep the doors open)
3. crankcase breather pipe heater (only for extreme cold climates)

that's about it ...

maybe check headlight bezels and any other rusty bits showing ....

Rear Window Heater, if fitted, can have heating circuit damaged by high level brake light pod. Replacement has a modified heating grid. Symptoms of failure - top 3 heater elements fail.
I've also had the front door stay torsion bars replaced and the transfer box rear oil seal. 2010MY 90 XS. LANDYWATCH

What is the issue with the door stays? Steve.

Not exactly a recall but changed without any hassle. Front doors have a torsion spring type arrangement to click into place when they are at bout 75* open and keep them open. It releases when pulled shut, against the resistance of this torsion spring. Neither of mine would stay open. Hence changed under warranty. Thumbs Up LANDYWATCH

Are you very sure that the actual torsion bars were changed? On mine I just tightened the bolts and they started holding the doors as normal.

Cheers
Nick

Ah got you. Mine were like that but cured it by tightening the bolts too. That said the drivers door stay has ripped through the door seal so I'll be asking for that to be replaced when it goes in for service next month. Steve.

I tightened them up at first - mentioned this at the 1st service and they changed them at the next visit when they did the transfer box seal. LANDYWATCH
