Puma gearbox

Seem to recall some gearboxes have been replaced over the past two years. Does anyone know if they were replaced with the same version or an upgraded one? Reason I'm asking is that I have just had clutch, flywheel, brake drum and shoes replaced under warranty to try and resolve the known knocking/clanking problem when coming to a halt after a longish trip (around two hours). Dealer had several attempts to solve it and although replaced clutch has improved driveability in traffic it hasn't solved the main ongoing problem. Just completed another longish trip and after exiting motorway the problem is still there and it is proving difficult to then drive around in stop/start traffic until it has cooled down for a while. Any comments would be welcome.

It's not something so simple as the handbrake shoes in the transmission drum dragging slightly, is it? Greg

I still think it is... just because I used to have this problem, but I don't any more!
(And I've made no adjustments etc).
It just went away, like maybe a high-spot wears away.
I can't think a gearbox issue would 'get better' after cooling, but a brake (or clutch) issue might?

I have no clonks when the whole thing is cold. After getting warmer i get clonks when shifting from 4th-5th-6th. Puma 110" SW

It is the handbrake and the fix is simple. Screw the drum adjuster in all the way and then slacken off 2 turns. Next shorten the outer cable by about 5mm. The adjusting nuts are on the other end of the cable where it comes out of the seatbox and can be reached from underbeath. Screw inwards so there is 5mm less thread visible.
