Genius, blow the place up and claim on the insurance
Thanks Blackwolf, luckily I didn't turn the gas on, although the boiler pilot light was only 3' away All charged up and going to put it back in the SAAB |

Yep, having been on the receiving end of a battery exploding on a Series 1 back in the '70's due to a numpty sparking the jump leads connecting up an overcharged battery [not me I hasten to add] I can confirm that it's not a pleasant experience Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

How about jumping my Defender using my Anderson jump leads with the anderson connectors Ive got fitted to my seat box?
Should I... Connect the jump leads pos clamp to the starter vehicle battery terminal, then neg clamp to the earth point on starter vehicle, then connect the anderson end of jump leads to my Defenders anderson connectors? Or, connect the anderson connectors, then pos clamp to starter battery, and then neg clamp to starter vehicle earth point? |

Safest to connect clamps first then plug leads into the connector.

Yes the wife is back skidding into Range Rovers and school children again
I'm driving her into work until this ice finally melts. My TC came in today - that's a weird noise but very effective |
