Mike,

Thanks for the suggestion, however the dealer that I brought the Puma from is on the other side of the country, 300 miles away, we moved about 5 months after the purchase.

When we did move, I contacted LR Customer Services and they stated that any warrenty work would be carried out by any dealer, anywhere. However, most dealers are not really bothered about Defender purchasers, they are only interested in Diso and RR buyers.

And the bottom line is "Well Land Rover warrenty say............."

An invidious situation.

Regards

Chay

Warranty work is done anywhere - and should be accepted by any other dealer; however, the liability as with anything is always with those that did it...so unless your dealer is part of a chain; the issue is there Mike

See my previous posts. You have my sympathy! I sold mine I was so fed up with it! A woefully manufactured product (as all bar the Disco 3 are in my experience). Picking up a Nissan Pathfinder for under £18k brand new to use as a work horse, bit different but it can't be any worse.... LR 90 XS GONE! Hurrah!

Be sure not to load your nissan any where near the recommended laden weight weight constantly and use as a work truck because if you are like the largest roading company here in New Zealand that has over 40 of them and then get suspension problems, gearbox problems etc nissan will walk away from your warranty (within a year)as you are "overloading" them. also they got the same thing with toyota Hi Lux running for cover, but amazingly not FORD!

Chay - sounds like you've had a bad time of it.

Not all dealers are as bad. I took mine into Stratstone Milton Keynes to get some work done and they've been really great so far. I told them the rear step was corroding so they just put a new one straight on. The paint on the intercooler rad is going to get re-sprayed (although it'll take them 10 days apparently Shocked ).

I hope your experiences improve. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
