Well, though it was time for a update !!
Not a lot to report, with only a few miles added,,now only just under the 4000 !! First service just done, tad early mainly because i wanted the modified sump pan fitting, so as the oil was to be changed, had the service done as well, The pan was done FOC by Land rover, and the only item i got them to look at was, in my opinion, a slight weep to the left hand swivel unit worse than it looks in the pictures, and a lot damper that the r/hand side,,, but they say it a wet joint, and so its normal, and no fault Still not getting decent fuel consumption, this also was mention, and they recon they have mailed Land rover about it,, but not expecting any response !! best has been 22.4 on a nice steady 70 mph 300 mile run, without the rack !! JST did borrow for a day, and could not get more the 20mpg !! After spending a afternoon, running a new 12v power supply to the rear, down the left hand side, then over to the right , only to find LR and already fitted a accessories power point there !!! hey-ho !! Now with the Mt's fitted, front under guards, and rail/flaps removed, ready for a trip next month !! Hi,
That 12v accessory point you mention, do you mean the supply underneath the vehicle, above the chassis under the plastic cover for the rear lights? DAZ110 |

Hi Daz
The supply i found, is hidden behind the rear lower panel right hand side,, in my case with the XS the panel with the rear speaker in,, Comes from the fuse box under the r/hand (drivers for UK) seat, 20amp fuse (No2) marked accessories on the fuse box lid,, I believe their is a second connector in the supply line,, but not found that as yet ?? Re tyres and consumption,, remember. with 285/75?? x16 your tyre diameter is now 32.83 inch, against 31.73 of the org 235/85 x16,, so traveling further that you were before California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

Overdue for a topic update !!
Not a lot happened in 12 months,, Did 3000 odd miles round Spain/Portugal last May,, 60% of it off road, and no problems Click image to enlarge Nov saw another trip, this time to the Peaks,, and a few lanes Had one trip to the dealer, to check the gearbox/clutch,, and only after driving JST's 110 (2009 model year) who's box does feel a tad smother !! but surprise, surprise, they found no fault, check the exhaust/brake cyl shield , and all OK, but did improve the remote locking fob range a tad !!! Now getting her ready for a trip to Morocco , leaving next weekend Decided to take the 110, rather than the D3 !! Click image to enlarge Thanks Sonic, for the lead re the alloy box's, works well :) Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |
