Any ball-bearings will do though as long as they fit partially in the head recess, break the race and clean the ball bearings.

Smidge of marine grade 29i Sikaflex and adhered the balls into the heads. Will wait until the Sikaflex 'goes off' then fill the remaining area. Can't be drilled and would take considerable time to get any tool in there to undo a single bolt, let alone two of them.

In this respect, next week the Entreq security hinges which I bought new from Matt now over a year ago I think (when he decided to resell new and unused), and which have been lying around for all that time, finally will be installed. Olaf will do it himself while the truck is there for a number of other upgrades. As is quite common my standard hinges have some play as Olaf showed, but not to the point where I can hear the bonnet rattling when driving. Anyway the Entreq security hinges should solve that. As far as we could test last week in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen it looks like the Entreq hinges footprint will be sufficient to cover the required area in order to not show anything unpainted.
