Croytec do make very good quality parts and over the years I have bought several items and always been happy with the excellence of their work. And their new Puma/ Tdci Clock Surrounds look really good when fiitted. However and here is the problem they are now very expensive when compared to other manufactures that make similar items. The other thing I have noticed with Croytec is the protective coating they use over time deteriorates and starts to pit, this is not so much a problem if you decided to paint the hinges or have them anodised, but be warned if you leave them as finished in bright alloy a few years down the line they do not look so good.
My advice for what it is worth is to go down the stainless steel route. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

With a Puma choose carefully....They are sprayed with the hinges on and unless you get hinges with the same size footprint or larger you can end up with a tide mark.....Read the following thread.....

Recently bought the YRM Safari Door Hinges....excellent quality.
From three and a half years ago....things may have changed. OX4X4 hinges were branded with their logo (still look like they are from their home page) so maybe not the same as YRM perhaps?
As mentioned choose carefully or ring/e-mail and check first! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Looking at both products it’s a bit confusing on some of the photographs on OX4x4 site they look identical to the ones on YRM’s site with the same OC stamp, but if you look at the photo on OX4x4’s site of the passenger door hinge this has no stamp. However they are both the same price no matter who you order from. One is based in Guernsey and the other in Co. Durham. It might be easier if anything goes wrong with the order to contact someone in Co. Durham though. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
