From what I can recall the seats should only have a +ve and a -ve so just a simple switch and fused feed to the battery should do Russell

With the current draw you will need relays and wiring to suit, there are plenty of kits on eBay starting as little as 99p

Looking at the official wiring diagram, LR dont use relays on the seats, just the two switches on the dash (TD5) which switch the + side of the circuit. The seats are locally earthed.

Hi Killer90 I have a complete wiring loom with switches, all you need is a fuse box live and a earth plus tap into you original loom for switches to come on with lights,I removed from a td5 XS loom.
the switches are for a tdci has they are different to a td5. would accept £40.00 posted if any good? thanks Ash |

On the Puma the supply is switched through the ignition via the 'Window lift relay' R143 which is protected by both the 100 Amp and 60Amp main links. The seats themselves are then protected by a 20 Amp fuse.
When the ignition is off the window lift relay switches the main live feed to the seats down to earth. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Just adding to all the information already posted by PaulMc on this topic, he helped me with a kit to wire mine up, and I have put some info in the thread about My Defender.
