Not Fairy liquid Steve, very corrosive Zymol do a car wash as well, it uses citrus like many other good washes that don't strip everything off with their petroleum mix Citrus is a very mild acid of course but about the most non-damaging ingredient you can get that does the job.
I have no idea about polishes by the way just got an insight from a member who runs a top end valeting business - can't remember his forum name  Yettiman I think  |

Swissvax do a car bath (car wash) you have to use it before the next stage cleaner and then the wax, it all leaves your hands
very soft  |

Any issues with a bit of T-Cut and Mer Ultimate polish after a wash, I have a few light scratches from the Plains to buff out. ===================================

 , I use these products on the Defender and the Porsche.
