Steve,, Tried on the works machine, and MM was not found in the apps !!
Just tried here, and its now, as you have found,,, gone,, However, still have it in my apps, so they must have closed down the UK version to new applications ?? California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

Just checked out the memorymap forum and it says there is an issue with the app in the store and it is being worked on. No great consolation if you need it now as this has been going on since jan 6th.

Just checked back on itunes as a friend has just bought an ipad and this is the latest state of play
BUT on another thread they suggest Hema USA atlas as Hema apps allow import of memory maps. So it might have to be this way if they don't get it sorted soon. Barbara |

to continue the memory-map saga...
I called memory-map front line sales support 7 times now and they can't (or won't do anything) - i would think i am within my rights for a full refund ? they are selling a product that clearly does not work because the app is not available. Memory-Map web site does not tell you that the app is not available. Rubbish support so far.. I have sent them 5 emails detailing the issues, but not a dicky bird .. maybe tomorrow |

Surely you should be venting your spleen at Apple? They're the ones who removed a working app without giving sufficient notice for MM to provide a workaround. It seems very unfair on established companies that Apple can change the rules just like that, and in the process ruin their reputation - but then, they do like to be in control What can MM's support tell you - they don't know when Apple will approve the app (or even if they will)? They've got an app to give you, it's just that Apple won't let them. Is MM only not available in UK? Perhaps Apple are keen to push US (Hema) companies over UK ones? I agree with you to a point, my problem is the MM site makes no mention of this problem and it's been a problem since 1/1/12 .. a little explanation would go along way my other issue is the license management does not seem to be robust the actual product when working does what it's supposed to do Barbara - I'll see you on the 4th maybe you can show me how the atlas map can sync over bluetooth to the GPS |

AFAIK Hema is Australian
I agree with yoe about license management, mine tries to connect to license server every time I change map and then the when I cancel lo and behold the map is there. Not tried the hema app as my memory map one is working and I am loathed to fiddle with it. Never tried using Bluetooth for syncing. I just iTunes to get maps and routes onto the iPad. As I don't have a pc in regular use running memory map and they don't do a mac version. Somehow after this debacle I don't think they will be bringing one out. Barbara |
