bit of a diesel leak after filling then stopped.....?
so, i filled the tank this afternoon on my puma 90, mY11, and with not paying attention to what i was doing the result was the tank being filled to the brim... totally... but no spillage... of that i am sure...

after coming out from paying i noticed a substantial dripping leak from off the right underside of the fuel tank.... seemingly coming from somewhere higher i could not see... couple of hundred mils i'd say in total was dumped, but then after a couple of minutes it stopped and has been fine since...???

my question is this... could the tank have been dumping excess fuel from an overfilled tank... is there a valve that would do this...? or do i have a leak...? Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...

'Wow...! What a ride!

land rover put the fuel tank breather and the filler neck breather on the same pipe when you fill right to the off the filler neck it runs out the breather till it is low enough the best thing to do is extend the breather pipe up to the wheel arch. sorted out a lot like that down here in the falklands
