I seem to remember that the flashes change to indicate that the batteries in the fob need changing. Have you found it difficult to lock remotely?

no not at all ! everything has been normal up to a couple of days back ,only thing thats been different was the battery needed charging due to lack of use ( been left sat for about 2 weeks ,probably needs a new battery though ,ill try a pulse tester and see what it says ,though its showing OK with the battery indicator on the battery ) but it worked ok after the recharge! ALL THE BEST

Change your battery in the handset. You will need 1 CR2032 battery for each handset. Get them on ebay and they are seriously cheap, genuine panasonic ones are about 25p each.

Quote from Owners Handbook for 2010MY Puma Thumbs Up

When the battery needs replacing, it will be apparent from the following symptoms:

The remote control will only work every other operation when unlocking.
The hazard warning lamps will not flash when the alarm is disarmed.

Do not remove the battery until you are ready
to install the replacement. LANDYWATCH

Change the fob batteries first, if that doesn't cure it let us know and we will take it from there. Thumbs Up

This is the first vehicle i have ever owned where so much help and camaraderie is available from other owners,i was shocked after i picked it up and driving home EVERY other defender i saw waved!! (thought there was something wrong at first Laughing ! still getting used to it ) ALL THE BEST

THANKS GUYS
SPOT ON ! what was interesting though was only one battery needed replacing and then the other fob started working ok again without a battery change ! the one that needed changing was on the NEW fob issued and programmed by a landy stealer just a month ago Shocked Shocked before i bought the vehicle from an independant ( or maybe i shouldn't be too shocked after reading about main stealer's on here !!) ALL THE BEST
