ECU Interface

Hi
can anyone tell me if the puma has an OBD 2 interface, for reading the ECU and the like? Cheers

Yes it does; the connector is under a flap beneath the stearing wheel along with most of the fuses and relays.

I use a Scangauge on mine, works fine (www.ukobd.co.uk).

2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Alaska White

i use a scan gauge on mine, it would be handy to leave plugged in all the time but the plug sticks out to far and thus you can't put the cover on - any solutions guys?

The ODB socket is clipped onto the fuse box panel. Why not un-clip it.

I just leave the cover off at the moment, may cut a hole in it in due course.

No kljw, unfortunately it can't read the engine map, or at least a scangauge can't.

The scangauge does have the facility for you to make up any command you want to send to the engine electronics as a series of bytes, and to see the results as a series of numbers, but I've no idea how to formulate a command to read part of the engine map, if indeed such a thing exists.

Just a thought: are there any Transit tools available at a reasonable price that would work for this sort of thing?

i've taken the screw holding it in place, but it still won't move much.
